The International Association of Buddhist Studies (IABS) is a learned society
dedicated to promoting and suppporting scholarship in Buddhist Studies
in a spirit of non-sectarian tolerance and with scientific research
and communication as preeminent objectives.
Membership is open to scholars of all academic disciplines.

The purpose of student memberships is to provide access to the JIABS (as well as to the IABS conferences) to those who, as students enrolled at recognized institutions, receive only a minimal salary.
Advanced graduate students who have full time teaching positions are requested to pay full member's dues.
Life membership : USD 1.000.-
Prospective members from developing countries may contact the Treasurer concerning subsidized membership rates.

in US dollars (USD) or in the equivalent amount in Euros (EUR) or Swiss francs (CHF).
Bank charges must be borne by the sender. If you fail to ask your bank to do so, we will not receive the full membership fee and will have to charge/invoice you for the balance.
